This is by far the best chippy Bangor has to offer I used to work in one of the bars a few doors away and made a ritual of going here for my dinner every Sunday and was never dissapointed with my dinner. I always try to stop in when I'm down the town and need a quick bite to eat

Located right on the marina it's the perfect location to stop for a bite to eat! In the better weather they have seats and tables outside so you can enjoy the surroundings while dining!
They fish is great, not to dry and not to greasy! There have been times I've drove the 30min drive just to have one! -

Was in here today to get something to eat, I got a pastie and chips , place was empty , we went in got a seat and ordered , when our meal came we weren't given any cutlery to eat with, so few mins passed and we had to ask the server so she said she forgot then gave us our cutlery. The chips came in a metal bucket, the chips were nice and tasty , the pastie was big and crispy with a nice taste not too much spice just right. I would come back here again.

Ate at cafe cod today and sat in, the pastie and chip was very nice but there wasn't any sauces left out on the tables and the girl serving forgot to give us knives and forks. It was empty which was surprising . Its not as cheap as other chippies but I suppose your paying more due to the location. And everything was cooked to perfection

Cafe Cod does great Cod and Chips!!
And so it should being located right on Bangor's Buzzing marina! The location is top notch and as is the food. I always go for their cod and chips, being a huge fan of fish and the batter and the fish are really really great. The batter isn't overpowering and the fish cooked perfectly. I love their chips too and my sister swears by their cheesy chips and hamburgers!
The prices are great too and won't break the bank and if you're lucky enough to get a seat outside on a nice day you really can bask in the glory of all Bangor has to offer!
